Directing the Fire
Confidence is often misunderstood.
Many people believe confidence comes after success.
After certainty.
After validation.
After proof.
Kali teaches something different. Confidence is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to move anyway.
Once the chaos settles, the fullness is reclaimed, the fire returns, and the clearing has occurred, the question becomes:
Where will you direct this energy?
Because life force without direction often becomes frustration.
It can feel like restlessness, anger, procrastination, stagnation, or the sense that something inside of you wants more but cannot fully move.
Life force with direction becomes creation.
It becomes expression.
Movement.
Purpose.
Action.
This pillar is about learning to trust your voice, your desires, your intuition, and your ability to lead yourself.
Not because you have all the answers.
But because you trust yourself enough to take the next step.
Kali reminds us that confidence is not something we find. It is something we build.
Each time we speak the truth.
Each time we honor a desire.
Each time we take action despite uncertainty.
Each time we choose ourselves.
Confidence grows through experience.
It grows through embodied trust.
Through showing yourself, again and again, that you can move through fear and remain connected to yourself.
This pillar asks:
What would become possible if you stopped waiting to feel ready?
Because the fire within you was never meant to remain contained.
It was meant to be directed.
It was meant to create.
What Confidence Feels Like in the Body
Confidence is often spoken about as a mindset, but it is deeply connected to the body.
Before we speak our truth, share our work, set a boundary, follow a desire, or take a courageous step forward, the body often responds first.
A racing heart.
Tightness in the throat.
Butterflies in the stomach.
An urge to shrink, hesitate, or second-guess.
Many of us have been conditioned to believe that confidence means never feeling fear.
Yet confidence is not the absence of fear.
It is the body's growing capacity to remain present while moving through uncertainty.
This energy often lives within the:
• Solar Plexus — personal power, self-trust, action, and direction
• Throat — expression, truth, visibility, and being seen
• Heart — trust, courage, and vulnerability
• Root — safety, stability, and feeling supported enough to move forward
When confidence is blocked, it may show up as:
• overthinking
• procrastination
• perfectionism
• second-guessing yourself
• fear of being seen
• difficulty making decisions
• shrinking your voice or desires
• waiting for permission, validation, or certainty
The nervous system may perceive visibility, expression, success, or change as unsafe. Not because you are incapable, but because these experiences may be unfamiliar.
Kali reminds us that confidence is built through embodied experience.
Each time we take a small courageous action, speak a truth, honor a desire, or choose ourselves, the body learns:
I can do hard things.
I can trust myself.
I am safe to take up space.
Over time, confidence becomes less about forcing yourself forward and more about developing a relationship with your own power.
Breath deepens.
Posture changes.
Your voice becomes steadier.
The body begins to trust the fire it carries.

Signs This Energy Is Starting to Build
Confidence rarely arrives all at once.
More often, it develops through small moments of self-trust. A decision made without overthinking. A boundary spoken aloud. A desire honored instead of dismissed.
At first, these shifts may seem insignificant. Yet each time you choose yourself, take a courageous step, or move forward despite uncertainty, you are strengthening your relationship with your own power.
As this energy begins to build, you may notice:
• trusting yourself more quickly
• speaking your truth with greater ease
• taking action before you feel completely ready
• less need for external validation
• honoring your desires without immediately dismissing them
• making decisions with more clarity
• setting boundaries without as much guilt
• feeling more comfortable being seen
• sharing your voice, work, or ideas more openly
• experiencing excitement alongside fear rather than waiting for fear to disappear
You may also notice changes within the body.
Breath becomes deeper.
Posture becomes more open.
Eye contact feels easier.
Your voice carries more steadiness.
There is less contraction and more expansion.
Most importantly, you begin to realize that confidence was never something you had to find.
It was something you were building every time you chose to trust yourself.
Awakening the Leader Within
Confidence is not something Kali gives you.
It is something she awakens within you.
This final pillar is not about becoming louder, proving yourself, or pretending fear no longer exists. It is about remembering the steady, unwavering part of you that has been here all along—the part that knows who she is.
As you speak this invocation, allow these words to become your own. Let them settle into your body, your breath, and your nervous system. You are not only calling upon Kali's courage... you are remembering your own.
Invocation
Beloved Kali,
Walk beside me as I remember the woman I came here to be.
Help me release the need to prove my worth,
to shrink my voice,
or to seek permission before honoring what I know to be true.
Remind me that confidence is not perfection.
It is presence.
It is trusting myself even when the path ahead is uncertain.
When fear arises, help me meet it with compassion instead of judgment.
When doubt appears, remind me of all that I have already survived.
Help me lead my life from love instead of fear.
May I stand rooted in my truth,
soft in my heart,
clear in my boundaries,
and unwavering in my devotion to myself.
May I trust the wisdom of my body,
the rhythm of my soul,
and the quiet voice within that has always known the way.
I no longer wait for permission.
I choose myself.
I choose my life.
I choose to lead it with courage.
And so it is.
Give a listen to the music and let it awaken the confidence energy inside of you. This song feels ancient and primal. Let is skitter through your being and whisper something from it’s slumber.
Three-Card Pull : Stewarding Confidence
Confidence isn't something we suddenly arrive at.
It is cultivated one choice, one boundary, one courageous moment at a time.
Before pulling your cards, take a few deep breaths and place one hand over your heart. Rather than asking what you need to do, ask what your inner leader is ready to show you.
Allow your intuition to guide you.
Card One
What strength within me is ready to be reclaimed?
Card Two
Where am I being invited to trust myself more deeply?
Card Three
What is the next courageous step my soul is asking me to take?
Confidence isn't found in having all the answers.
It is built every time you choose to trust yourself a little more than you did yesterday.
Let these cards be a conversation with the woman you are becoming.
Ritual
The Leader Within
Begin by listening to the guided meditation and allow yourself to meet the version of you who already embodies the confidence, clarity, and self-trust you long for.
Afterward, scroll down to reflections to deepen your experience.
Reflection
After completing The Leader Within meditation, spend some time with your journal.
Rather than searching for the "right" answers, allow yourself to write freely.
Who did you meet?
What qualities did she embody?
What fears still linger?
What truth did she remind you of?
And perhaps most importantly...
What is one way you can embody her today?
Confidence isn't built all at once.
It is created through the quiet moments where we choose to trust ourselves again and again.
Embodying the Frequency of Confidence
Embodying Confidence
To embody confidence is not to become fearless.
It is to become deeply rooted in yourself.
After walking through chaos, meeting the Great Mother, reclaiming your creative fire, and clearing what no longer serves you, confidence begins to feel less like something you chase and more like something you remember.
You stop looking outside yourself for permission.
You begin trusting the quiet wisdom within.
Your body softens. Your breath deepens. Decisions become less about seeking certainty and more about honoring what feels true. Fear may still visit, but it no longer gets to lead.
This is Kali's final gift.
Not the absence of fear, but the unwavering devotion to yourself that says,
"No matter what happens, I will not abandon me."
Confidence isn't loud.
It doesn't need to prove itself.
It is the quiet knowing that you are capable of meeting whatever life places before you.
And from that place...
You no longer wait for the perfect moment.
You become the woman who gently, courageously, takes the next step.
Kali asks us to move what no longer belongs and to embody what does. As you continue this journey, don't forget to return to the practices in the Integration & Care section and the Body Temple. Your body is where this work becomes lived wisdom, and movement is one of the most powerful ways we honor that.
The Tidal Current
The Tidal Current
Welcome to The Tidal Current — a space where nothing about you needs to be edited, softened, or made palatable.
This is the chamber where your truth is allowed to exist exactly as it is: raw, holy, tender, messy, sacred, angry, grieving, expanding, contracting — all of it welcome.
This is not a place for performance.
This is not a place to be “good.”
This is a place to exhale.
Here, you get to show up in the exact moment you’re in — not the moment you think you should be in.
Your voice belongs here.
Your experiences belong here.
Your process belongs here.
This space is for release.
For connection.
For sisterhood.
For the in-between moments while you move through the Temple and your own becoming.
Take a breath.
You have a place to land now.
